Aprobaci\u00f3n legislativa y contexto : Todos los partidos excepto el PP aprueban la Ley Trans vasca<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

El pleno del Parlamento vasco ha aprobado este jueves la reforma de la llamada 'ley trans', recibiendo el respaldo de todas las formaciones excepto el PP. Esta reforma pretende garantizar un apoyo \"integral y adecuado\" a las personas trans dentro de los sectores educativo, sanitario y jur\u00eddico, \"en igualdad de condiciones con el resto de la ciudadan\u00eda\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El debate y aprobaci\u00f3n de la norma, observado desde la tribuna de invitados del Parlamento por diversos colectivos y asociaciones activas en este \u00e1mbito, coincidi\u00f3 con el sexto aniversario del suicidio de Ekai Lersundi, un joven trans de Ondarroa (Bizkaia), que se quit\u00f3 la vida a los 16 a\u00f1os mientras esperaba un tratamiento hormonal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objetivos de la reforma<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Impulsada inicialmente por el PNV y el PSE-EE a trav\u00e9s de una proposici\u00f3n de ley, esta reforma modifica la \"Ley de no discriminaci\u00f3n por motivos de identidad de g\u00e9nero y de reconocimiento de los derechos de las personas transexuales\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La enmienda pretende \"garantizar el derecho de las personas trans e intersexuales a recibir de las administraciones p\u00fablicas vascas una atenci\u00f3n integral y adecuada a sus necesidades educativas, sanitarias, jur\u00eddicas, etc., en igualdad de condiciones que el resto de la ciudadan\u00eda\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principios b\u00e1sicos y objetivos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the legislation sets out to “protect the freedom of these individuals in various social life aspects, particularly in different public services”. Concurrently, it seeks to “help overcome stereotypes negatively impacting the social and institutional perception of these individuals and to set specific measures to achieve a more just, free society founded on equality of treatment and opportunities for trans and intersex people”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garantizar los derechos y la protecci\u00f3n de los menores<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As\u00ed, la ley establece que las administraciones p\u00fablicas vascas \"actuar\u00e1n considerando que las personas deben ser tratadas conforme a su identidad sexual o de g\u00e9nero, correspondiente a su sexo o g\u00e9nero percibido\". Para los menores transexuales, afirma su \"derecho a ser o\u00eddos\", destacando que las administraciones garantizar\u00e1n \"la protecci\u00f3n y atenci\u00f3n necesarias para favorecer el libre desarrollo de su personalidad y su desarrollo integral\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En este sentido, se especifica que \"cualquier intervenci\u00f3n de las administraciones p\u00fablicas vascas debe estar guiada por el principio de atender al inter\u00e9s superior del menor y evitar situaciones de sufrimiento y desamparo\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
