Este avance se produce tras la reciente aprobaci\u00f3n de un proyecto de ley por parte de la C\u00e1mara de Representantes tailandesa, que supone un paso significativo hacia las reformas legales que benefician a la comunidad LGBTQ+ en esta naci\u00f3n del sudeste asi\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El Consejo de Ministros aprueba el proyecto de ley de igualdad matrimonial en Tailandia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Consejo de Ministros de Tailandia, pieza clave del poder ejecutivo responsable de las decisiones pol\u00edticas, aprob\u00f3 el mes pasado una modificaci\u00f3n del C\u00f3digo Civil y Comercial. Este cambio, seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 un portavoz del gobierno a Associated Press, consiste en sustituir los t\u00e9rminos \"hombre y mujer\" y \"marido y mujer\" por \"personas\" y \"parejas matrimoniales\". Esta propuesta de modificaci\u00f3n se remiti\u00f3 despu\u00e9s al Parlamento como parte de una serie de proyectos de ley centrados en el matrimonio entre personas del mismo sexo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Apoyo abrumador en la C\u00e1mara de Representantes tailandesa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante una reciente sesi\u00f3n, la C\u00e1mara de Representantes, con 371 miembros, respald\u00f3 por abrumadora mayor\u00eda este proyecto de ley, dejando s\u00f3lo 11 disidentes. Sin embargo, como se\u00f1ala Reuters, estos proyectos de ley requieren consolidaci\u00f3n antes de una votaci\u00f3n concluyente, prevista para el a\u00f1o siguiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El optimismo del Primer Ministro y el camino hacia la ley<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El primer ministro, Srettha Thavisin, expres\u00f3 su optimismo en un mensaje en las redes sociales tras la votaci\u00f3n, indicando que Tailandia avanza hacia la igualdad de derechos para todos. Seg\u00fan los archivos del gobierno, un comit\u00e9 de 39 miembros se encarga de revisar estos proyectos de ley durante quince d\u00edas, introducir las enmiendas necesarias y volver a presentarlos a la C\u00e1mara. Si la versi\u00f3n combinada del proyecto se aprueba en la C\u00e1mara y el Senado, s\u00f3lo necesitar\u00eda la aprobaci\u00f3n del rey Maha Vajiralongkorn para convertirse en ley. De este modo, Tailandia se convertir\u00eda en la segunda naci\u00f3n asi\u00e1tica en promulgar legislaci\u00f3n sobre la igualdad matrimonial desde Taiw\u00e1n en 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Desaf\u00edos y oposici\u00f3n en el sur profundo de Tailandia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin embargo, el impacto de esta legislaci\u00f3n sobre el matrimonio entre personas del mismo sexo en Tailandia podr\u00eda verse limitado, sobre todo en el sur profundo, donde las leyes religiosas musulmanas suelen prevalecer sobre las leyes nacionales. A pesar de ello, el partido conservador Prachachat sigue oponi\u00e9ndose, alegando incoherencias con las ense\u00f1anzas isl\u00e1micas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Opini\u00f3n de Amnist\u00eda Internacional sobre la legislaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amnist\u00eda Internacional, aunque aplaudi\u00f3 la medida legislativa como un paso adelante hacia la mejora de los derechos de las personas LGBTQ+ en Tailandia, critic\u00f3 el proyecto de ley por no proteger suficientemente a los ciudadanos transg\u00e9nero y no binarios y por permitir la discriminaci\u00f3n por motivos religiosos o de \"seguridad nacional\". No obstante, el investigador de Amnist\u00eda Internacional Tailandia Chanatip Tatiyakaroonwong destac\u00f3 la importancia de estos proyectos de ley para rectificar potencialmente las disparidades
