While the parade navigated the streets without incident, a different story unfolded on social media. Numerous derogatory and homophobic comments emerged following online publications about the event, leading to their removal by page moderators.<\/p>\n
Comments such as \u201cScum of the earth,\u201d \u201cWe didn’t win a war with this filth,\u201d and \u201cA gang of notorious pedophiles pumped with hormones\u201d were among those taken down, particularly from posts under Vesoul’s local press coverage.<\/p>\n
\u201cA journalist shared what was blocked by moderators,\u201d explained Micka\u00ebl Vanetti, president of Parlons d\u2019amours, the organization behind the march. He expressed feelings of anger and indignation over these messages.<\/p>\n
Vanetti was particularly upset by comments targeting the LGBTQIA+ community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I read we wouldn\u2019t win a war with people like us… They should remember that without Alan Turing, many of them wouldn’t have been born, or we\u2019d all speak German,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n
He highlighted that certain online remarks were based on degrading insinuations.<\/p>\n
\u201cSaying the sidewalks of Vesoul will get slippery after our passage… such remarks are dripping with innuendo,\u201d he lamented.<\/p>\n
In response to these attacks, Micka\u00ebl Vanetti is contemplating legal actions.<\/p>\n
\u201cI plan to consult with Vesoul’s court to explore possible actions,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The goal is to hold the authors accountable for their words.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt seems like a competition to come up with the worst insult. If a complaint is successful, the prosecutor will ultimately decide the outcome,\u201d he suggested.<\/p>\n
For the president of Parlons d\u2019amours, the situation underscores the ongoing need for education and awareness in the department. He emphasized the association’s commitment to an inclusive approach.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt demonstrates that there’s significant work ahead in Haute-Sa\u00f4ne,\u201d he noted, stressing that prevention remains a priority.<\/p>\n
