Eduardo Morales Crowned Mr. Gay Spain 2025
A Victory Where Cultures Intersect
At just 24 years old, Eduardo Adrián Morales Lobaina has been named Mr. Gay Spain 2025. Hailing from La Línea de la Concepción in the province of Cádiz, Eduardo proudly represents the vibrant fusion of his Andalusian upbringing and Cuban heritage passed down by his mother. His triumph is rooted in a deeply personal campaign centered on inclusive education and LGBTQ+ visibility, especially in rural, traditionally conservative regions.
A Symbol of Hope and Representation
For Eduardo, the win goes far beyond personal achievement. It’s a statement of courage and a beacon for those silenced by fear. “This isn’t just my victory,” he shared with emotion during the ceremony in Madrid. “This belongs to everyone who still can’t speak freely — I’m here for them, for all of us.”

A Journey Defined by Resilience
According to the official competition page, Eduardo’s path has been anything but easy. Raised by his Cuban mother in a single-parent home, alongside his 11-year-old brother Toni — who lives with Asperger’s syndrome — Eduardo was no stranger to adversity. His teen years were plagued with bullying over his appearance, background, and sexual orientation. Yet, he emerged stronger, developing a deep sense of empathy and gratitude that now guides his mission.
Balancing Daily Life and Aspirations
Currently working as a clothing store sales associate, Eduardo is diligently saving to gain independence. Friendly and full of dreams, he finds joy in cinema, music, travel, and nightlife. He describes himself as charismatic and deeply compassionate — qualities that resonate through his advocacy and public presence.
#OrgulloEnMiPueblo: From Experience to Action
During the competition, Eduardo championed the #OrgulloEnMiPueblo initiative — “Pride in My Town” — rooted in his own experiences growing up in a less accepting environment. The campaign promotes diverse emotional and sexual education from a young age, aiming to combat bullying in schools and foster more inclusive communities.
Education as the Antidote to Hatred
“We fight hatred with education,” Eduardo declared during one of the night’s most powerful moments. “We can no longer turn a blind eye to the suffering of countless young people who are stigmatized or silenced. Schools must be safe havens, not battlegrounds.”
With this campaign, Eduardo is not just taking a powerful stand on stage — he’s working actively to spark lasting change, starting with his own town of La Línea de la Concepción and extending the message to other rural communities where diversity still struggles to be embraced.
