Since their notorious MTV inception, these characters, known for their flamboyant personas, brawny physiques, and bronzed complexions, have continued to captivate audiences, whether through tumultuous romances, legal entanglements, or their various televised ventures.

Nearly a decade post-“Jersey Shore,” marked by individual pursuits and spinoffs, the group mostly reconvened in 2018, traversing through Jersey, Miami, and Las Vegas in “Jersey Shore : Family Vacation.” As the sixth season of their exploits and familial gatherings concludes, it’s opportune to reconnect with these iconic figures.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino : 01 of 09

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Once a fitness model, Mike Sorrentino, better known as “The Situation” for his famed abdominal muscles, became a household name, courting controversy both on and off the airwaves. He was a mainstay throughout the original series’ six-season run.

Post-“Jersey Shore,” Sorrentino flaunted his physique on various reality shows, including “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars,” its Family Edition, and his brief series, “The Sorrentinos.” He also competed on “Dancing With the Stars” (season 11), “Celebrity Big Brother” (season 10), and “Worst Cooks in America” (season 9). In 2018, he rejoined his “Jersey Shore” comrades for the reboot.

Away from the limelight, Sorrentino faced personal and legal challenges. He sought treatment for prescription medication addiction in 2012 and has been sober since 2015. Alongside his brother Marc, he faced tax fraud charges in 2014 and pleaded guilty to tax evasion in 2018. Sorrentino served an eight-month federal prison sentence in New York from January to September 2019. Before his incarceration, he married Lauren Pesce, with whom he has two children, Romeo Reign and Mia Bella Elizabeth, and is expecting a third in 2024.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi : 02 of 09

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi The diminutive dynamo Snooki, real name Nicole Polizzi, has been industriously crafting her brand since her “Jersey Shore” days. Her ventures include three books (“A Shore Thing,” “Confessions of a Guidette,” “Gorilla Beach”), a music video, a fashion line, nail polish, and perfume.

Beyond these endeavors, Polizzi has maintained her television presence. She’s appeared in “The Three Stooges” (2012), “Movie 43” (2013), and as a demonic alter-ego on “Supernatural.” She also participated in WWE Monday Night Raw, securing a WWE 2011 A-Lister of the Year Slammy Award.

Her most enduring post-“Shore” project is “Snooki and JWoww,” a four-season series with JWoww, chronicling their friendship, Polizzi’s pregnancy, and marriage to Jionni LaValle. They also created “Snooki & JWoww: Moms with Attitude” for AwesomenessTV. Polizzi later joined her husband for “Nicole and Jionni’s Shore Flip” and competed on “The New Celebrity Apprentice” and “Dancing With the Stars.”

Rejoining most original cast members, Snooki signed on for “Family Vacation.” After a brief hiatus in season 4, she returned for its latter half. She co-hosted MTV’s “Messyness” with Tori Spelling, the late Teddy Ray, and Adam Rippon.

Vinny Guadagnino, devoid of a moniker like his peers, has stayed within MTV’s orbit since the show’s inception. He guest-starred on “The Hard Times of RJ Berger” and in 2013, MTV launched “The Show With Vinny,” a one-season talk show featuring celebrity interviews at his family home. Besides “Family Vacation,” he co-starred with Pauly D in the dating show “Double Shot at Love.”

Outside MTV, Guadagnino graced “Dancing With the Stars,” appeared as “Hammerhead” on “The Masked Dancer,” and performed in a Las Vegas Chippendales residency. He and his mother co-hosted “Vinny and Ma Eat America” on the Cooking Channel in 2017. After shedding 50 pounds on a low-carb diet, he authored “The Keto Guido Cookbook” in 2019.

Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio : 04 of 09

Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio Pauly D, known for his iconic hair and DJ skills, has been active in music and reality TV since his “Jersey Shore” days. In 2011, he inked a three-album deal with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records and opened for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale tour. He released three singles and was twice nominated as “America’s Best DJ.” He’s also the resident DJ at Marquee in Las Vegas.

His spinoff, “The Pauly D Project,” chronicled his life and career. Pauly D is the narrator of Paramount+’s “All Star Shore,” uniting reality show personalities globally.

DelVecchio’s reality TV romance ventures include “Famously Single,” “Game of Clones,” and “Double Shot at Love.” He appeared on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” with ex-girlfriend Aubrey O’Day. Since 2020, he’s been in a relationship with Nikki Hall, whom he met on “Double Shot at Love.”

In 2013, Pauly D announced the birth of his daughter, Amabella Sophia, with Amanda Markert.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley Jenni : 05 of 09

Farley Jenni “JWoww” Farley, initially known for her partying, briefly launched “Filthy Couture” before starring in “Snooki and JWoww” and its sequel “Moms with Attitude.” She triumphed in “Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition” (season 7) and returned to her roots with “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.” Her acting debut came in “The Mint” (2015), where she also served as executive producer. She authored “The Rules According to JWOWW.”

Farley appeared on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” in 2014 with then-boyfriend Roger Matthews, whom she married in 2015. They have two children, Meilani and Greyson, but divorced in 2018. As of 2021, JWoww is engaged to AEW star Zack Clayton Carpinello.

Angelina Pivarnick Angelina Pivarnick : 06 of 09

Angelina Pivarnick, known for leaving “Jersey Shore” twice, attempted a rap career with her single “I’m Hot” in 2010. She ventured into wrestling with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2011 and later reconciled with the cast, appearing on “Double Shot at Love” and “Family Vacation.”

Pivarnick married Chris Larangeira in 2019, filed for divorce in 2022, and is currently engaged to model Vinny Tortorella. She competed on Paramount+’s “All Star Shore” in 2022, hosted by Pauly D, and works as a registered FDNY Emergency Medical Technician in Staten Island.

Samantha “Sammi Sweetheart” : 07 of 09

Samantha “Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola Post-“Jersey Shore,” Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola launched “Sweetheart Styles,” expanding into accessories and home décor. She dated Shore beau Ronnie Ortiz-Magro until 2014 and was engaged to Christian Biscardi from 2019 to 2021. She’s currently dating bartender Justin May.

Giancola’s reality TV appearances have been sparse, featuring on “Project Runway,” “Snooki and JWoww,” and the E! special “Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore.” She opted out of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” to focus on her business and personal life but made a surprise appearance in season 6. She also hosted the relationship podcast “Just Sayin.”

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro : 08 of 09

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, known for his tumultuous relationship with Sammi Sweetheart, has had a rocky post-“Jersey Shore” life. He had a public relationship with realtor Jen Harley, with whom he shares a daughter, Ariana Sky. Both faced domestic violence charges and have since separated. Magro sought treatment for alcohol and depression in 2019 and was engaged to Saffire Matos from June 2021 to July 2022.

He appeared on TNA’s Impact Wrestling and E!’s “Famously Single” (season 2). Returning to “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” he took a hiatus in 2021 for mental health treatment and celebrated a year of sobriety in August 2022.

Deena Nicole Cortese : 09 of 09

Deena Nicole Cortese, who joined “Jersey Shore” in season 3, has been relatively low-profile, appearing on “Couples Therapy” and “Snooki and JWoww.” She returned to reality TV with “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” in 2018 and competed on celebrity editions of “Fear Factor” and “Family Feud.”
