Winter Social: Celebrating LGBTQ+ Unity

Join us for PFLAG‘s Winter Social under the December sky. On Dec. 11, Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church welcomes all. It’s a night for warmth, fellowship, and unity.

Festive Evening Agenda

The event starts at 6:45 p.m. with socializing. At 7 p.m., we’ll have introductions and activities. By 8 p.m., the event wraps up, leaving everyone inspired.

Oak Ridge’s Active PFLAG Community

In Oak Ridge, PFLAG meets monthly, promoting inclusivity across faith venues. The Winter Social at the Unitarian Church highlights this commitment.

PFLAG: Support and Advocacy

Founded in 1973, PFLAG unites families and LGBTQ+ allies. It fosters dialogue on sexual orientation and gender identities. Jeanne Manford’s vision has led to over 200,000 members and 500 chapters.

PFLAG’s Evolving Role

Over the years, PFLAG has become a key support and advocacy group. It focuses on LGBTQ+ rights, notably supporting the bisexual and transgender community.

Honoring PFLAG’s Legacy

At the Winter Social, we celebrate PFLAG’s history. The organization supports not just parents, but also siblings, children, and friends of LGBTQ+ individuals.

Towards a Tolerant Society

Together, we promote a tolerant, understanding society. Our unity shines, even in the darkest nights.
