Tamar Braxton Unveils New Cooking Show and Shares a Message to the LGBTQ+ Community
A Family Television Project
Tamar Braxton is adding another exciting project to her impressive television career. This time, she is teaming up with her mother, Evelyn Braxton, to co-host a cooking show titled Cooking Sessions: with Tamar and Ms. E. The weekly series, set to air on Cleo TV starting Wednesday, March 28, promises to combine “fabulous looks and delicious dishes” with two beloved members of the Braxton family.
In an interview, Tamar highlighted how meaningful this project is for her and her mother. “It’s a very special moment for me. First of all, it’s her dream, and being able to help her fulfill that dream is a dream come true,” she shared. The show is the result of ten years of hard work, and its debut is, for her, a true “blessing.”
A Key Role Behind the Scenes
In addition to co-hosting the show, Tamar Braxton is also the executive producer through her company, Tamar Braxton Productions. She expressed her gratitude to Phil Thornton, a major figure in the music and television industry, for supporting her entrepreneurial journey. “Thanks to Mr. Phil Thornton, who has helped me become the businesswoman I am today,” she stated.
A Strong Advocate for the LGBTQ+ Community
Tamar Braxton has long been a dedicated ally of the LGBTQ+ community. Last summer, she was honored with the ICON Award at the 12th Annual Pure Heat Community Festival in Atlanta. When asked about her LGBTQ+ fans, she shared a heartfelt message: “Be who you are. People who accept you will accept you, and for those who don’t—stay away from them. I’ve always been an LGBTQ+ advocate, ever since the fourth grade.”
An Inclusive and Engaging Podcast
Tamar also hosts a weekly podcast titled Life, Love & Beyond, where she explores themes of healing, relationships, and life in general, alongside celebrity guests. She co-hosts the show with Taz Singh, a medium and life coach, as well as James Wright Chanel, her best friend and a well-known LGBTQ+ influencer. She emphasized the importance of LGBTQ+ representation in her team: “My entire staff is LGBTQ+. It’s essential for me to stay true to myself while valuing the opinions of those who matter to me. Having James by my side not only gives a voice to the LGBTQ+ community but also provides me with a voice of reason.”

An Exciting Upcoming Tour
Alongside her new cooking show, Tamar Braxton is preparing for a new tour titled The October Nights: Calling All Lovers Tour, in collaboration with R&B artist October London. The tour kicks off on April 15 in Norfolk, Virginia. Tamar shared her excitement: “I’m so grateful to be able to tour every year. After Love and War 10, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to tour with anyone else because the energy of my Tamartian fans is unique. We speak the same language and truly understand each other.”
When it comes to cooking while on tour, the singer admits her schedule doesn’t allow her to cook as much as she’d like: “I don’t get much of a chance to cook on the road, and I really miss home-cooked meals. I try to avoid fast food because it’s easy to get addicted to it.”
With so many exciting projects ahead, Tamar Braxton continues to shine in the music and television industry while staying true to herself and her values.
